It'll be some time before our chicks are offering up eggs, and the garden is just beginning to come alive with spouts and seedlings... but a little backyard foraging of another kind was enjoyed yesterday, and dinner was all the better for it. (I added a whole bunch of baby kale too.) We're looking forward to the bulbs later in the season, but for now some of the leaves are a tasty addition to our meals.

Well, I'm off to retrieve my car from the mechanic and head into the weekend. Looking forward to cleaning out the garage a little more (really, I am) and seeing The Mountaintop with some friends on Sunday. It's good to get out of the house a little more after such a long winter.
