Hello little ol' blog! Where does the time go? June is always a whirlwind of activity, this year feeling even more so. We've begun our (hopefully not too long) relationship with the orthodonstist, strawberry picking has begun (early and with freezing cold temps!), and there has been game after game after game. Oh! And Emily's first piano recital which was such fun!
Fifteen strawberry plants arrived in the mail as payment from an organic farmer down south for a spot in 30 Day Vegan. I think strawberries may be the very best form of currency.
The gardens have been keeping us quite busy (and feeding us well), along with final homeschool projects, formal dance preparations, and planning our visit to the Northeast Homeschool Convention next week. Not sure how we're going to squeeze that in but it's so close to home we'd really like to take advantage of that.
We are heading to Vermont soon. There is a special birthday to celebrate that will inlclude plenty of hiking, fly fishing (for him), visiting with Adam's grandmother, and enjoying some down time as a family.
The slow days of summer are coming, I do sense it. But we are still hustling in many ways before we can sink deeply into those quiet afternoons on the porch with a good book and some lavender lemonade. It's coming, and I am so ready.
For now though, June is a wild one, keeping us on our toes for sure.
