A Smurf collection is part of our Christmas decorations. It's a weird little thing we have going on here. Basically, I collected Smurfs as a kid and never wanted to part with the collection when I grew up. At some point over the years they wound up with the holiday decorations and have decked our halls along with Santa and twinkly lights ever since. All things Smurf do not excite me, just these couple of dozen. They meant so much to me as a kid... being the days of fewer toys and all. Everything meant something, as it should be.
Turkey vultures live abundantly here. They pass the time sunbathing on rooftops, just as I did some twenty five years ago. There's been a re-population in recent years, with no predators. I wonder how much they weigh, ten pounds each?
They sure do leave a mess behind.

Oh, Dallas. Word on the street is you're kind of a mean one. Funny though, you perk up when the camera comes out. I have a feeling there's a soft side to you. We'll see.
It's been so many years since I've looked out a window while washing dishes. I forget.
We had planned to go home right away so he could finish putting the new muffler on the car, but hungry bellies all around brought us here first. It was nice to see the new look of the place, business must be good. What a happy feeling, especially nowadays. Kudos to whoever made the design decisions, that is one snappy looking awning.
Now we are home, the muffler is being replaced. I'm feeling good about the day. Time helping my parents, time spent chatting it up with my family (while other people prepared and brought us food), a quick thrift shop visit between the two. Found treasure - box of vintage ornaments, a book for Emily, a handmade candle. A lovely trio indeed.
