Can you believe it's time again already!? If there is a downside to these monthly giveaways, it would be that they make me uncomfortably aware of the swift passing of time. I just got the last package out! But it's a new month and a new season, so let's hope there is a little more pep in the shipping department over here!
Are you ready? Here we go...
I'm so excited to be partnering with some of my readers on these monthly giveaways. It feels a little extra fun when that reader is a NEW blog writer herself. Please stop on over to Jenn's new blog, Yarn Addicts Anonymous and say hello! And while you're there, let her know how incredible she is for graciously taking the time to stitch up this beautiful selection of 100% cotton dishcloths and the cutest dish towel ever... for one of you! Isn't that so nice? And aren't those colors exciting? Her sweet little four year old girl, Melodie, says they are "the colors of lemonade and popsicles." Oh Melodie, that sounds so perfect after this long winter.
Jenn also has an etsy shop, and just as soon as she locates her ever-elusive camera cable (I swear those things get up and walk away), she would like to put a few cotton goodies in there for anyone interested. Yay!
My handmade contribution is in the form of three fresh and new for Spring headbands! They are adult sized, the two florals are vintage fabric and the other is 100% linen to which I added some vintage cotton lace trim. They have a nice, slightly wide feel to them, measuring about 1 3/4 inches wide.
I'm in love with the use of a hair elastic (of course I used brand new!) that attaches the two sides together in the back (or should I say bottom) and gives the band it's stretch. And at ten minutes a piece, they were a very fun and quick craft fix.
Then I went through some of my vintage things and just had to include this beautiful Tasha Tudor book. And while I was there, perusing my shelves, I found this hand-embroidered vintage table runner. And I have had butterflies on my mind ever since Stefani posted the April edition of the Book of Days. So this of course needed to be included as well.
This book is not one of Miss Tudor's storybooks, it is a collection of prose and poetry that she loved, coupled with her beautiful paintings and illustrations. Reading this book is like going on a mini-retreat. So relaxing, hopeful and fulfilling.
That butterfly. She's pretty big you know... her wing span measures 7 1/2 inches! And the sweet pink floral and black check border goes all the way around. The butterfly motif is mirrored on the other end of the runner too. I didn't get a very good shot of the whole thing, but it is 40 1/2 inches long and the softest linen.
So there you have it... what do you think!? Maybe it'll all be yours, just stop on by the comments to be entered. I keep it super simple, say the word and you are entered. Easy.
A lot of folks email me to let me know they have trouble commenting on my blog... I have no idea why that is. If you are one of those people (I'm sorry), please go ahead and email (top left side bar) me and I will enter you!
I hope you enjoyed this early Spring giveaway that Jenn and I put together for you and I hope each and every one of you enters! You have until Monday friends!! Enjoy the weekend. :)
Thank everyone!! Comments are now closed, I'll be back shortly with a winner!
