If you're ever looking for a "field trip" Sarasota has A TON to offer. Mote Marine Aquarium (http://www.mote.org/), GWiz Science Museum (http://www.gwiz.org/), Selby Botanical Gardens (http://www.selby.org/), Sarasota Jungle Gardens (http://www.sarasotajunglegardens.com/), Myakka River State Park (http://www.myakkariver.org/), Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary (http://bigcathabitat.org/)... to name just a few, and that's all without leaving town! Never mind what Tampa and Orlando have to offer. I'd love to have you!

Thanks for this lovely blog on your homeschooling. Our 8 year old daughter goes to a local elementary school in Arlington MA, and is very happy there, mostly for the friends interaction, but I'd like to do a little more at home and am inspired by this painting area as she loves to paint and it will be great to set up her painting area to use when she gets inspired. I'll put you on Bloglines with your craft blog to keep in touch. Thanks again! Geri
