So, it's been a while. I thought it would be easy to jump right back into this blog - my second home. The truth is, I'm sort of at a loss for words. What should I talk about first? I know the ideas will come, but I think slow and steady will be how I find my return.
The workshop was wonderful. In many ways it was a dream come true for me, and it seems that new possibilities were born from it as well. I'm not sure how much I'll be sharing about the past month here, I know there will be some sort of report as many of you have asked for some yummy details. But it feels like the workshop was over there - held in a separate space, blending the two together doesn't feel right. But maybe it is very right, I don't know. Figuring out the appropriate balance of working online and hanging out here for the sheer pleasure of it is tricky. Not that I haven't 'worked' through this blog already with my etsy shops, this just feels different and it's rather hard to explain. Oh my, I'm thinking out loud now...
To sum up these last 30 days? Counting my blessings. Indeed.
Today I walked downtown with Emily and her friend, winter coats were worn. I couldn't believe it. We went to the library for their book discussion group, then across the street to the cafe. While at the library I sat and read half of Charles and Emma. Have you read it? Oh my, it is wonderful. Also, I finally own a copy of Super Natural Cooking. I can't believe it's taken me so long to purchase a one! And how exciting that Heidi's second book came out this week - I think I need that one too.
Well, this was a random post to return to... and I need to run off to bed now, so it doesn't look like I'll be able to wrap it up in any cohesive way. My family (me being the ringleader) is totally inspired by Rachel's new family breakfast routine. We're going to try it starting tomorrow. Breakfast isn't a meal we sit down to together on the weekdays, and I'm not really a big breakfast person in general - but I like anything that sets the tone for a good day and am all about gathering together around food, and I think it'll be fun to expand our breakfast offerings. The biggest motivator though is how inspiring Rachel's unexpected benefits from this new routine are. I think a Family Breakfast Club may need to be formed...
And finally, this came my way today and was really interesting to read, especially considering my last 30 days were spent vegan. I love reading about people's food point of view.
Okay, I'm back! How are you?
