I had terrible commitment issues with choosing a paint color for our dining room. You all gave me such fabulous paint choices, so many yellows! To me, in the end, this room needed to be blue, I just couldn't seem to let that idea go. But which shade of blue exactly? I imagined a color light(ish) in tone, though a pastel blue I did not want. A stately feel would be nice. This room can handle stately.
Well, my dining room has been wallpapered with paint chips for months now, but no longer! Thanks to Alicia and her impeccable taste (always), my color choice has been found! Buxton Blue just might become the new Sweet Rhapsody (I have a feeling). Do you remember after Amanda designed her new studio that gorgeous blue started popping up all over the blogosphere? Alicia's studio has a different feel than my dining room, but I just had to have that pretty, earthy blue on my walls. And I'm sure my family is grateful someone else just made the decision for me, all we had to do was buckle down and get to work.
There has been so much painting around here lately. I do need to take some proper photos once curtains are made, and corners tidied. Mostly though, we just need the sun to shine again. We are finally getting rain, thankfully. Until that sunny day arrives, these dark and not at all Buxton Blue looking photos will be here to offer a little tease.
I suppose the rainy days will provide the time needed to tackle the corners and the curtains! Oh, I am so happy to have this room checked off my list!
