FOR TODAY
Outside my window... still so many birds waking up, and it is 7:30. I think they are beginning to sleep in too.
I am thinking... about the movie we watched last night - and the discussion that took place throughout (we paused the movie a lot)
I am thankful for... wide open spaces of possibility - for the things we normally couldn't fit into the "schedule" (see next item).
From the learning rooms... pulling out (and revisiting with Emily) my Herbalist course from 15 years ago.
From the kitchen... just finished making Adam's lunch. Inside he will find (among other things) our neighbor's cucumber, Birdsong Farm's yellow pepper, Windsong Farm's blueberries over yogurt (drizzled with Birdsong's honey).
I am wearing... thrifted J Jill jammie pants, lavender tee
I am creating... yet another new space in our home. Loving the one we just finished over the weekend.
I am going... not too far today. Just the post office, then soccer practice tonight.
I am reading... Housekeeping by Marilyn Robinson
I am hoping... the good news we received has long lasting effects.
I am hearing... the coffee percolator on the stove.
Around the house... hoping for a reasonable quote from the insulation guy.
One of my favorite things... the possibility of a new day.
A few plans for the rest of the week: more room painting (such is the story these days), room swapping, general preparations for our new family adventure. Soaking in the final weeks of a slow and quiet summer.
