A few weeks ago Emily and her friends set out to raise some money (by way of a bake sale at their school) to help with relief efforts in Haiti. Their charity of choice was Oxfam America, and today their picture is on the front page of the website! Scroll down and you will see it on the left hand side, Emily is all the way to the left. It's just a little mention, but they were so thrilled that their little elementary school of just 75 students raised over $800, and to then be featured on the front page of Oxfam America... well, that just made their day. I'm sure the front page changes frequently, so check it out soon (mom!). Good kids I tell ya, good kids...
In other news, a camera cable has been procured and blogging shall resume very soon. Thank you Karen for the cable offer, I had picked one up that same day you left me the message. So kind of you though. ;)
