Approaching the end of any yoga intensive training or retreat you hear a lot of talk about integration. "How will you integrate from the weekend?" It is a process worth honoring, as much a part of the experience as the time spent practicing. There is a vast difference between the raised energy levels and meditative states of a 2.5 day yoga immersion and real life. Carving out a little time post retreat to digest it all feels right. So, music is played and written, hikes are taken, bread is baked, a hot bath
soothes, poetry is read. Every yogi has their plan.
For about a week now I've been dreaming up plans for this years hiking adventures as spring fever has been setting in. I figured the perfect way to integrate would be with this stack of books. Planning the hikes, meals, gear upgrades or replacements. Dreaming the day away about mountains, rivers, and trails beneath my feet...heaven.
To top off this delicious plan... we woke to a fresh blanket of snow this morning, school was canceled, Emily is home. I couldn't be happier. My plan just got better.
